Rendezvous Staff
General Coordinator
Sara Callaway
Sara has been an active part of Rendezvous since 2002 - first as a worktrader for a decade, then as worktrade coordinator, then instructor coordinator, then co-coordinator, and now as General Coordinator.
Instructor Coordinator
Alex Kilgore
After getting a degree in experiential education in 1997, Alex moved far from town to live, work, and teach. He quickly discovered a joy for simplicity, self sufficiency, building, and working with wood, which soon led him to create a small off-grid home where he still lives today. Alex now splits his time between teaching traditional living skills and working as a carpenter. He was site manager for Rendezvous for years, has been on the Leadership Council, and helps coordinate instructors.
Instructor Coordinator
Calen Vaughn
Calen (all pronouns) loves earthskills as an opportunity for cultural regeneration, ancestral healing, and rewilding in community. Calen began coordinating instructors for Rendezvous in the spring of 2024.
Worktrade Coordinator
April Steffler
April is active in the Earthskills community in a variety of ways. She coordinated worktraders FLR23 and RR24 and we hope to keep her around in other roles moving forward.
Site Manager
Nadi Urdos
Nadi (they/them) has been on a quest to study traditional woodworking, metalworking and ancestral skills ever since leaving behind their Aerospace Engineering path in Germany where they grew up. They work as a self employed carpenter and mechanic, set up ancestral skills event infrastructure, and use every chance they get to expand their skills and empower others.
Site Coordinator
Josiah Urdos
Josiah is a woodworker, father, and skillzy human.
Financial Coordinator
Tom Buchenot
Tom is a 2024 graduate of UGA's Master of Social Work program with a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership. He joined the ERI community after having learned about the mentally and physically restorative benefits of being in nature. Outside of Earthskills, Tom enjoys backpacking and white water kayaking on the Chattooga river.
Youth Program Coordinator
Sara Henry
Sara Henry has been mentoring children in a variety of earthskills since 2011, when she started out working with Sunflower Creative Arts, the play, arts and gardening focused kindergarten she attended herself when the school first opened. Her heart lies in guiding children to express their sense of wonder with the natural world and to fall in love with nature.
